Array Based Real-Time PCR
Mobious Biosystems is developing novel gene expression analysis assays and instruments for use in research and diagnostic laboratories.
The Ampliplex™ platform combines the advantages of real-time PCR (quantitative accuracy) with the advantages of array based assays (high levels of multiplexing). Ampliplex™ achieves all this by unifying proprietary chemistries with its proprietary Accelafin™ microfluidic processor, which accelerates the hybridisation phase.
The result is a powerful real-time PCR platform that effectively circumvents existing restrictive IP but also benefits from:-
1. Scalability to allow analysis of one hundred (+) genes in a single vessel with negligible incremental costs for additional analytes or biomarkers.
2. NO manipulation of sample (i.e. no taking of allequots) once in the system (this improves accuracy and reduces the chance of contamination).
3. Rapid time from sampling to results.
4. Rapid development and integration of new gene assays thereby allowing timely expandability to incorporate emerging pathogens, clinical needs, scientific discoveries.
5. Compatibility with existing automated liquid-handling hardware.
